Dish enclosure looks very slick and is extremely sturdy. I have done some extreme offloading since installing this dish, even dragging numerous limbs over the top of my vehicle and across the top of the dish. I haven’t climbed up there to see how bad I scratched it but it’s still there, and it still works amazing.
The thing I was mostly worried about before buying it and am mostly surprised about now is obstructions. I mean, the trees do slow it down a bit but camping under all these trees I still had over 100 mbs.
The second thing I was concerned about was the fact that I was buying this from someone that lives thousands of miles away from me, I had never met, and probably could never find if I didn’t get what I paid for. However, the whole deal was very professional. Tim delivered everything exactly like, and when he said he would. He even activated the dish for me right after I paid him for it, which made me feel much more comfortable about the deal.
Most of the locations we camp are very secluded and have no cell phone service. The Starlink makes my girlfriend feel much more secure, knowing we always have communication. If you would like to see this dish under very extreme off-road conditions, feel free to view pictures on my public Facebook page at Leon Giafaglione.

I initially ordered another mounting system, not much information on their site at the time and it seemed like an unbelievable high cost. The website was confusing, saying they were now shipping but elsewhere said it will take 2-3 weeks or more. I took a chance and ordered it.
After a few weeks I researched and found the TRIO flat-mount, which seemed like a much better product at a much lower cost. I ordered and received the Starlink TRIO flat-mount. Super strong, very lightweight and very low cost. I was impressed.
Sometime later, my other arrived. Right out of the box I was shocked at the weight (13.6 lbs.) Looking at the product it just seemed like a slab of plastic was routed out to fit a Starlink dish. It works for sure but it's massive, super heavy and expensive yet it has little actual engineering put into it. TRIO Flatmount $150 (weight must be like under 2lbs) or the heavy other mount for $559. I returned the $559 mount. Very happy with the TRIO mount, it’s well engineered, strong, efficient and exceptionally cost effective.

Love our Starlink but we really needed a 12v solution to reduce power loss from inverters.
We have a 43’ Trawler [boat] we live aboard in summers and a 26’ RV we travel in winters.
Having researched the limited options of a 12v Starlink set up I contacted Tim in Kamloops. Tim is a talented RV custom builder/Starlink expert! I had the opportunity to see Tim build our “dishy” with high quality components, polycarbonate cover, and waterproof sealant.
Our flat mount is held on our RV by strong magnets, attached to galvanized metal plates I ‘sikaflexed’ to the roof membrane… works great. In summer we will use the same method to attach to our canvas aboard [our boat] Sirena.

Quality product and workmanship Tim also prepared my Starlink to fit in to the flatmount and made the wire connections. I mounted the unit on my truck camper with the magnetic feet by screwing and gluing 4 large washers on the roof. This allows me, in case I am parked under trees, to easily remove the flatmount and move Starlink to a different location if needed to see clear sky. I left the extra length of cable rolled up on roof to be able to do this. We also maintain internet connection while driving. What a game changer not having to set up and take down Starlink. Thanks Tim.
